ST. AUGUSTINE & ST. JOHNS COUNTY MLS NOTICE OF CANDIDATES FOR 2016 The Nominating Committee's report for the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board Multiple Listing Service (MLS) has been approved by the MLS Board of Directors. The nominees are as follows: President-Elect Dan Lang Sunshine Realty Treasurer Sonny Shanks Southern Exposure Real Estate Services Secretary Rob West Coldwell Banker Director Janet Masters Mantanzas Properties Director Bill Crosby Century 21 St. Augustine Properties Director Tracy Glochau Berkshire Hathaway If you would like to run for one of these positions, you must meet the qualifications, you must submit your name by petition and it must be received by me no later than 1:00pm on October 1, 2015. The petition must be signed by 15% of the Participants of the Service. The President-Elect shall be elected for a term of one (1) two (2) year term. The Secretary and Treasurer shall be elected for a term of one (1) year and the Directors shall be elected for a term of two (2) years. The minimum qualifications for President-Elect are: 1. REALTORR member in good standing in the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board of REALTORSR for a minimum of two (2) years. 2. Commitment to move up to the office President and understanding that this is a six (6) year commitment (2-President-Elect, 2-President, and 2-Immediate Past President). 3. Served at least one year on the Board of Directors of the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Multiple Listing Service. 4. Is the MLS Participant of a real estate office or has written permission of Participant. The minimum qualifications for Treasurer are: 1. A REALTORR in good standing of the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board of REALTORSR for a minimum of one (1) year. 2. Has demonstrated an aptitude for sound financial knowledge and responsibility. 3. Must have served on the Finance Committee for a minimum of one (1) year. 4. Is the MLS Participant of a real estate office or has written permission of Participant. The minimum qualifications for Secretary are; 1. REALTORR member of the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board of REALTORSR, in good standing, for a minimum of one (1) year. 2. Is the MLS Participant of a real estate office or has written permission of Participant. The minimum qualifications for a Director are: 1. Shall have been a REALTORR member of the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board of REALTORSR for a minimum of one (1) year. 2. Shall be the Broker/Owner/Manager, Participant member of his/her real estate office or have written permission of the Participant to act on his behalf. All Officers and Directors must be elected from among the Participants of the MLS. There is a limited exception that no more than four (4) may be elected from among REALTORSR with the written consent of the Participants with whom they are affiliated. The Final ballot will be emailed to all Participants eligible to vote on October 12, 2015. The completed ballots must be received at the Board office no later than 1:00pm on Monday, October 15, 2015.
