Good Morning,

This is a reminder that DBPR has extended the deadline for renewing real estate licenses with an original license renewal deadline of March 31st and September 30th to December 31st to complete their CE and pay their fees.

The following is an email that I received this morning from Florida Realtors(r):

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) has twice postponed the licensing deadline for state licensees who originally had to be renewed no later than March 31, 2020. In the latest change, those licensees now have until Dec. 31, 2020, to complete required courses and pay their fees. Licensees with a Sept. 30, 2020, license renewal deadline have also received an extension to Dec. 31, 2020.
DBPR explained the change in an email it sent to licensees that "provides important information regarding the renewal deadline extension currently in effect for your license renewal and helpful instructions regarding the service available to you to self-print your license directly from your online account with the Department."
Extension of license expiration date for real estate licenses to Dec. 31, 2020
DBPR email: "The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, on May 31, 2020, enacted the Emergency Order 2020-07http://www.myfloridalicense.com/dbpr/os/documents/EO_2020-07.pdf?utm_source=openmyfloridabusiness&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=2020-06, which extends the renewal deadline until December 31, 2020, for the holders of any licenses issued by the Florida Real Estate Commission with an existing renewal deadline falling within June 2020 through December 2020. This includes all licensees from the March 2020 renewal group that had their renewal deadline extended June 2020 as well as the September 2020 renewal group. The necessary educational requirements for the renewal of the licenses extended by this Order is also suspended through December 31, 2020
"In order to prevent any delays in the renewal process, we encourage you to renew your license prior to the end of the renewal period using your Online Services accounthttps://www.myfloridalicense.com/datamart/loginFLDBPR.do."

Please keep this in mind during the last 4 months till December 31, 2020!  Don't procrastinate, do it sooner rather than later!!  December 31st will get here before you know it!

Stay safe and practice social distancing.

Victor
